Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to lead on-site environmental programs at NASA Glenn Research Center, OH. This role concentrates on multi-media compliance including hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater and water quality programs, with oversight of staff and subcontractors.

Candidates should have strong supervision experience, OSHA HAZWOPER training, and knowledge of Ohio/NASA environmental guidelines. U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associates degree in environmental science, or related field.
• 5 years of experience as a direct supervisor of personnel.
• 5+ years of environmental compliance experience.
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• Knowledge of Ohio environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of NASA environmental guidelines, systems, and processes preferred.
• Current HAZWOPER training is required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.
• Detail oriented to document all environmental compliance activities.
• U.S. Citizenship required for this project.
• CAC/clearance background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site leader for a multi-media environmental compliance contract with emphasis on hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, and related services.
• Acts as a Subject Management Expert in Hazardous Waste, Water Quality, POL/Tanks, NASA GRC procedural requirements.
• Coordinate contract activities; schedule client meetings; produce contract status reports.
• Support Project Manager with financial tracking, staff recruitment and training, subcontractor management, and cost estimation.
• Ensure safe work practices and report health and safety incidents.
• Manage up to 10 on-site staff and ensure quality of deliverables and client satisfaction.
