The University of Hawaiʻi is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to join the Office of Land and Ocean Conservation Futures/ OVPRI. The role focuses on ensuring environmental compliance for UH operations in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific, with emphasis on water and air quality, hazardous waste, and solid waste programs.

Competenze

• Bachelor-level degree in Environmental Science or related field with coursework in data science and chemistry.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible professional experience in environmental regulatory compliance.
• Experience with military programs and obtaining state/federal permits for water/air quality and waste programs.

Mansioni

• Serve as Environmental Compliance Specialist supporting USAR 9th MSC environmental compliance in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific.
• Act as SME for water quality, air quality, hazardous materials, waste, toxics, and drinking water programs.
• Coordinate permitting and reporting for facilities under environmental laws (CWA, CAA).
• Prepare and review technical reports, inspections, and work orders; support EPAS and iEPAS requirements.
• Lead training as SME for environmental programs with administrative support.
• Ensure timely reporting to internal/external systems; maintain plan updates.
