Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to lead site environmental programs at our Eugene, Oregon division. You will implement and improve compliance across air, water, and hazardous materials programs, interpreting permits and coordinating with regulators and internal teams.

The role requires a degree in engineering or environmental science, 4 years of relevant experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant environmental, industrial, or technical experience.
• Working knowledge of air and/or water permitting and compliance programs preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage responsibilities, analyze problems, and implement solutions.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills in operational environments.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain technical requirements clearly and concisely.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; ability to learn site-specific reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead site environmental programs, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company requirements.
• Interpret permits and regulations and translate requirements into practical, executable site actions.
• Maintain and manage air, water, and hazardous materials permits, including data collection, analysis, and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring, sampling, and recordkeeping systems.
• Support development and execution of environmental improvement and remedial action projects.
• Flexibility in work schedule to interact with multiple mills, crews and shifts, including 24/7 emergencies.
