Job summary

Philip Morris International Inc. is seeking a Senior Environmental Specialist in the U.S. to lead regulatory compliance programs, support audits, and drive continuous improvement across operations.

You will collaborate with teams to implement environmental initiatives, monitor reporting, and maintain documentation. The role requires a bachelor’s in a related field, with 1–3 years of experience; ISO 14001 familiarity is a plus, and certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Environmental or safety certifications preferred.
• 1-3 years of environmental experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, and management of environmental policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct waste, water, and air compliance inspections.
• Coordinate hazardous waste and material shipments per regulatory requirements.
• Assist with environmental goals, audits, and corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and help mitigate environmental risks.
• Educate employees on environmental requirements and best practices.
• Maintain environmental records and reporting data.
• Stay current on environmental regulations through ongoing development.
