Canacre, a Quanta Services Company, seeks an Environmental Compliance Inspector to monitor construction activities for regulatory compliance and to oversee SWPPP implementation across projects.

Responsibilities include inspecting sites, coordinating with contractors, and reporting compliance statuses to stakeholders. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• 5+ years in environmental management and SWPPP inspection.
• At least 1 year in utilities construction.
• Experience with NEPA-regulated projects.
• Certifications such as CPESC/CESCL or NYSESCCP preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in regulatory permit applications and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities within areas requiring protection or sensitive resources.
• Inspect construction sites for compliance with permits and approvals.
• Regularly inspect sites to identify environmental hazards and ensure SWPPP compliance.
• Report environmental compliance by contractors and subcontractors to client.
• Coordinate with inspectors and managers to address non‑compliance issues.
• Maintain daily reports documenting activities and compliance status.
• Act as a contact for on‑site government inspectors.
