Job summary

NRG Environmental Specialist/Engineer in Jewett, TX will develop and implement strategies, programs, and processes to ensure plant compliance with environmental laws and company policies. The role updates databases, prepares regulatory filings, coordinates activities, and supports critical environmental projects at the 1800MW Limestone Generating Station.

Ideal candidates possess a degree in science/engineering, solid regulatory knowledge, and experience with data analysis, reporting, and audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering; 8 years of environmental experience can substitute.
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance processes.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of CCR, Solid Waste, and Wastewater regulations.
• Manage TPDES Permit renewal, SPCC and Storm Water programs.
• Oversee water supply contracts and stakeholders.
• Support air quality data analysis and Title V compliance.
• Coordinate data collection and reporting for environmental programs.
• Assist in testing programs and regulatory notifications.
