Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the terminology, principles, and analytical techniques of the physical or natural sciences.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to communicate in a tactful and courteous manner both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of department rules, guidelines, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering compliance site visits and education outreach to increase compliance rates.
• Provide technical assistance to applicants and DEP staff on regulations and policies.
• Inspect facilities, review permits, and document compliance activities.
• Coordinate enforcement actions when necessary and manage follow-up to return facilities to compliance.
