Job summary

K Georgetown, KY-based contractor role seeks an Environmental Engineer to support environmental planning and compliance for manufacturing and non-manufacturing facilities. You will work with Production Engineering to implement changes, capital projects, and new launches.

The role focuses on evaluating environmental impacts, determining permitting requirements, and ensuring operations remain compliant with applicable regulations, with emphasis on California and Oregon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an environmental or science-related discipline (e.g., Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemical Engineering).
• Experience evaluating environmental impacts for projects, facility changes, or manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work with engineering, manufacturing, and environmental teams.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of corporate environmental standards, policies, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments for proposed equipment, facility, and operational changes.
• Evaluate potential impacts involving stormwater, wastewater, chemical use and management, air and other environmental considerations.
• Provide environmental guidance to engineering teams during project planning and implementation.
• Develop permitting strategies for capital projects and facility modifications.
• Prepare and complete environmental permit applications for facilities.
• Monitor environmental regulatory requirements and changes.
• Coordinate with local environmental personnel to ensure requirements are understood and implemented.
