About the Job: Altamira-US (Altamira) is seeking an Environmental Compliance Consultant to join our technical team. You will contribute technically to challenging environmental compliance assurance, permitting, management systems, and auditing projects for industrial clients nationwide. You will also network with Altamira’s compliance and auditing teams to share consulting opportunities, business relationships, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support client work and develop hands-on experience to expand Altamira’s environmental compliance services across sectors like oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, renewables, and technology.
  2. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare technical proposals, and lead business development efforts.
  3. Develop and expand client relationships to generate repeat business.
  4. Execute projects related to environmental permits, inspections, and compliance assurance programs for complex industrial clients.
  5. Meet client expectations regarding scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  6. Review plans, permits, and inspection documentation before submission.
  7. Support the development of deliverables such as proposals and presentations.
  8. Contribute to the growth of Altamira’s management systems, compliance, and auditing services.
  9. Collaborate with other experts within Altamira to execute projects and share best practices.
  10. Engage and inspire team members through collaboration.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in engineering (chemical, environmental), environmental science, or related field. EIT or PE license preferred, or 8+ years of related experience.
  • 5-8 years of relevant environmental consulting experience.
  • Recognized technical expertise and reputation in the marketplace.
  • Experience in business development for environmental and regulatory compliance contracts.
  • Knowledge of SPCC, NPDES, RCRA, EPCRA, and other regulations.
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
