Job summary

Stantec is seeking a part-time/flexible Environmental Compliance Specialist to support environmental compliance consulting for government and commercial clients across the United States. The role involves auditing diverse facilities, ensuring conformance with federal, state, and local standards, and working with a cross-functional team to drive corrective actions.

Qualified applicants will have a BA/BS in environmental fields, 3–5 years of audit experience, and strong communication and computer

Qualifications

• BA or BS Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience with audits and inspections and regulatory compliance
• Certifications such as CPEA, CHMM, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or similar are highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental compliance consulting services to government and commercial clients
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to provide audit services across the U.S.
• Serve as an environmental auditor to evaluate facilities for regulatory conformance
• Act independently and as part of a multi-media audit team to ensure compliance and recommend actions
• Develop findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to mitigate environmental hazards
