Job summary

Stantec is seeking a part-time Environmental Compliance Specialist to deliver regulatory audit services for government and commercial clients from any US office. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to assess facilities for compliance with federal, state, and local standards, and to develop findings and corrective actions.

The role requires travel 85% of time while part-time, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a background in environmental science or engineering.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
• 3–5 years of audits/inspections experience with compliance programs.
• Certifications such as CPEA, CHMM or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental compliance consulting to government and commercial clients.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to provide audits across the U.S.
• Audit diverse facility types for conformance to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Independently and as part of a multi-media audit team to assess compliance and recommend action.
• Develop findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to mitigate environmental hazards across media.
