Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Engineer, Compliance/Air Programs to join our Bastrop, TX site. You will manage hazardous chemical inventory and air emissions data, ensuring EPCRA compliance and audit readiness across a high-throughput manufacturing environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams to develop operational plans, improve tracking tools, and maintain complete and current emissions data as production changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental field, or related discipline.
• 3+ years in mass manufacturing with inventory and emissions tracking.
• Experience with EPCRA Tier II/TRI reporting and air permit reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate continuous assessments for hazardous chemical inventory tracking across a mass manufacturing site.
• Prepare and submit Tier II and TRI filings; archive calculations and packages.
• Improve inventory tools, workflows, and compliance calendars across changing production rates.
• Perform internal audits focusing on inventory integrity and emissions data; drive corrective actions.
• Monitor emissions and activity tracking for various process units and equipment.
• Maintain throughput, operating hours, material usage, and monitoring data with production changes.
• Support permit applications, amendments, and renewals; map long-term permitting plans.
• Coordinate emissions testing with contractors and engage stakeholders as needed.
