Job summary

Essity is seeking an Environmental Co-op in Menasha, Wisconsin. You will collaborate with operators, environmental engineers, and the environmental team to collect data and support sustainability initiatives while ensuring accurate testing and compliant documentation.

Ideal candidates are undergraduates in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science, or Environmental Engineering and can commit to January through June 2027 on-site, 40 hours per week, with a competitive wage and housing stipend possible.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate student in a four-year Engineering or Environmental Science program.
• Studying Chemical Engineering, Paper Science, Environmental Engineering, or related lab sciences.
• Able to work on-site 40 hours per week from January 2027 to June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Data collection and testing of water systems and waste streams.
• Perform trend analysis on collected data to monitor system health.
• Identify opportunities for improvement with Engineers and Environmental Team.
• Conduct waste audits and maintain ISO 14001 documentation.
• Maintain main lab equipment and supplies for accurate testing.
• Support site safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
