Job summary

Marsh is seeking candidates for a Client Advisor position in the Boston, New York City or Philadelphia office. This hybrid role requires going into the office 3x per week.

You will develop an understanding of clients' business priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs to provide knowledge and advice to complex clients. You will build relationships with underwriters and participate in the placement of sophisticated programs.

Qualifications

  • P&C license required or ability to obtain.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as lead advisory colleague on medium-sized or moderately complex accounts.
  • Cultivates understanding of clients’ priorities and risk strategies to provide informed advice.
  • Reviews exposures and loss experience to develop suitable solutions for clients.
  • Presents renewal/placement strategies with the team and client.
  • Negotiates and evaluates quotes from carriers and presents to clients.

  • In this Client Advisor role, you will develop an understanding of the clients' business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs to help provide knowledge and advice to complex clients.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with underwriters, and is involved in the placement of sophisticated insurance programs
  • Helps identify the need for new products and develops innovative solutions for clients.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with clients, and is the primary point of contact for day-to-day service needs.

We will count on you to:
  • Acts as lead advisory colleague on medium-sized accounts or moderately complex accounts.
  • Cultivates a deep understanding of the clients’ business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs to provide advice accordingly to client.
  • Utilizes substantial risk expertise and knowledge of industry and insurance market place to review clients’ exposures and loss experience to develop solutions for moderately complex clients needs, including recommending additional products and services as solutions.
  • Presents, develops and executes renewal/placement strategies in conjunction with Placement, Advisory Leaders and Client Executives.
  • Partners with Placement to receive, negotiate and evaluate quotes from carriers and presents the evaluations to clients.
  • Participates in presentations to prospective clients, identifies the need for new products and develops/suggests innovative solutions to client and client team members to gain new clients and projects.
What you need to have:
  • 5+ Industry experience, Environmental experience preferred
  • P&C license a must, or ability to obtain
  • Bachelors' degree preferred

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $92,500 to $197,100.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
