Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) in Lancaster, PA is seeking an Associate Chemist to prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard techniques. The role may involve standing, handling organic solvents and lab equipment, and requires strict adherence to SOPs and QA programs.

This position focuses on HRMS and other preparatory methods, with training provided. The 2nd shift runs 2pm-10:30pm Tue-Sat, with training Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm. Full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Chemistry or related field, Associate Degree, or 2 years of related lab experience.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including reading, writing and speaking in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience with methods and programs.
• Preparation of samples using standard techniques.
• Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques.
• Evaluation and quantification of data.
• Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
• Performing routine instrument maintenance.
• Responsible for keeping personal training documentation current and accurate.
• Responsible for timely completion of QC samples (MDL, LOD/LOQ, PT).
• Documents NCMs for projects with quality issues.
• Understands backlog reports to manage workload.
• Works under close supervision using routine methods.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Responsible for general housekeeping in work area.
• Proficient with IDOCs for methods in the department.
• Compliance with health, safety and QA standards.
