Job summary

Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection seeks a Chemist 2 to analyze environmental samples and operate laboratory instruments in a compliant setting. You will support method development for complex testing and ensure data accuracy on PFAS and other contaminants, adhering to strict lab and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates will have required Federal experience, a chemistry degree with relevant credits, and PA residency, with the ability to obtain or maintain necessary

Qualifications

  • One year as a Chemist 1 or equivalent Federal Government job title.
  • One year of professional chemical analytical experience with a bachelor's degree including 30 credits in chemistry or biochemistry.
  • Graduate degree in chemistry.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and maintain a REAL ID or passport.
  • Pennsylvania residency requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze environmental samples and ensure chemical data accuracy.
  • Operate laboratory instruments in adherence with regulatory standards.
