Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is hiring a CDL Driver to travel routes, pack, transport, and dispose of waste per regulations. The role requires a Class B CDL with Hazmat, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and strong documentation skills.

Occasional overnights and some weekend work are required. A company card will cover hotel costs and a daily stipend for meals. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and PTO.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Understand, read, and write English.
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc).
• Willing and able to wear PPE such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed).
• Valid ClassB Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement.
• Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check.

Responsibilities

• Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Complete required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.
• Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
• Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
• Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.
• Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g. manifests, route sheets, etc.).
• Follow routing software route schedule.
• Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
