Duties:
Advise clients on a wide range of environmental regulatory frameworks and obligations
Represent clients in environmental-related litigation, including administrative proceedings
Draft, review, and negotiate documents related to the environmental components of commercial transactions
Conduct legal research and provide written analysis on environmental laws and regulations
Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to support complex client matters
Engage in client development and contribute to the strategic growth of the environmental practice
Requirements:
2-6 years of focused experience in environmental regulatory, transactional, and/or litigation work
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and communication abilities
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality legal work
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Admission to the Mississippi Bar or eligibility for immediate admission
Skills:
Excellent research and legal writing capabilities
Familiarity with state and federal environmental statutes (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA)
Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret and apply complex legal frameworks
Confidence in presenting arguments and interacting with regulatory agencies
