University Health is seeking a housekeeping professional to maintain clean and orderly facilities in accordance with Joint Commission and Texas Department of Health guidelines. The role requires prompt, efficient task completion and readiness for emergency reassignments while reporting defects and spills as needed.
Ideal candidates have six months of institutional housekeeping experience or vocational training in housekeeping and can operate cleaning equipment while keeping a focus on guest
Carries out general housekeeping activities essential to keeping University Healthfacilities clean and orderly. All work will be done in accordance with Joint Commission and Texas Department of Health guidelines. Promptly and efficiently performs assigned duties and accepts emergency reassignments. Reports all maintenance defects to Plant Engineering Department. Uses equipment and supplies as directed and follows all the instructions listed on Material Safety Data Sheets. Identify and report all chemical/solution spills and discarded needles/syringes. Assist the Team Leader in clean up and disposals as required. Complies with University Healthand departmental policies and regulations. Maintains good interpersonal and guest relation skills.
Completion of work-related on-the-job vocational training is preferred. Six months institutional housekeeping experience is preferred. Ability to fill liquid soap, toilet paper towel dispenser and other dispensers required. Ability to operate cleaning equipment required.
