Job summary

University Health in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Environmental Associate to support our hospital facilities. You will perform general housekeeping to keep spaces clean and orderly, and report any maintenance issues to Plant Engineering.

You will also identify and help manage chemical spills and biohazard disposables according to safety protocols. The role requires English proficiency and prior housekeeping exposure; training on dispensers and cleaning equipment is provided.

Qualifications

• English literacy required.
• Six months institutional housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and manage dispensers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general housekeeping activities essential to keeping facilities clean and orderly.
• Report maintenance defects to Plant Engineering Department.
• Identify and report chemical spills and discarded needles/syringes; assist with cleanups and disposals.

What you will do:

• Carries out general housekeeping activities essential to keeping University Health facilities clean and orderly.
• Reports all maintenance defects to Plant Engineering Department
• Identify and report all chemical/solution spills and discarded needles/syringes and assists with clean ups and disposals as needed.

What we require:

• Ability to read, write and speak English is required.
• Six months institutional housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Ability to fill liquid soap, toilet paper towel dispenser and other dispensers required.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment required.
