Qualifications

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field required.
• 5–10 years analytical chemistry experience in Environmental Science or TIC field.
• Experience with HPLC, LC-MS/MS, LC-MS, GC-MS and Wet Chemistry.
• EPA method 1633A, 533 and/or 537.1 Rev 2.0 experience is a plus.
• Experience with LIMS data entry.
• Calibration standard and QC sample preparation and analysis proficiency.
• Demonstrates excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Experience scheduling work to meet holding times and customer turnaround goals.
• Team participation and meeting management skills.
• Demonstrates good problem-solving and independent work abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of samples using standard techniques.
• Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques.
• Prioritizing work to meet extraction and analysis hold times.
• Analyze drinking water and environmental samples for organic semi-volatile compounds by GC/ECD, GC/MS, HPLC, and LC/MS/MS.
• Review raw data, chromatograms, and mass spectra for accuracy and proper identification.
• Prepare duplicates and dilutions as needed.
• Record and report data and any unusual test occurrences.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and repair.
