Job summary

CMS is seeking an Environmental Analyst in the United States (Colorado, Aurora) to perform field inspections, document findings, and prepare compliance reports for stormwater and environmental programs. The role involves collaboration with contractors, engineers, and regulatory contacts to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with environmental data systems.
• Commitment to integrity and environmental responsibility; pursuing professional certifications is a plus (e.g., CISEC or CPESC).

Responsibilities

• Inspect erosion and sediment control measures on various construction projects.
• Conduct field investigations, document findings, and prepare detailed compliance reports.
• Review and maintain Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
• Manage client accounts and collaborate with contractors, engineers, and regulatory contacts.
• Assist in environmental, hydrological, and geotechnical projects, including NPDES, CERCLA, and RCRA programs.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

• LEVEL 1 TDEC Certification is a plus (compensation adjusted accordingly).
