Odyssey House Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a full-time EVS Technician to perform housekeeping duties across OHL facilities in Louisiana. The EVS will maintain cleanliness and ensure facilities meet employer standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, and common areas, transporting supplies, and coordinating with staff to deliver timely service. Compensation is $15 per hour; benefits include health and leave benefits as part of a comprehensive package.

Job Summary

Odyssey House Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a full-time EVS Technician.The EVS will be responsible for all housekeeping duties of OHL’sfacilities. The EVS will perform avariety of cleaning and maintenance duties. The EVS will be in charge ofmaintaining all program sites/facilities to employer standards. Duties willinclude cleaning and keeping facilities neat.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

• Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition;
• Perform mild cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, showers walls anddrains, living; quarters, washing walls, windows, and handrails, removingdebris and trash;
• Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies;
• Disinfect equipment and supplies,ensuring safe and sanitary storage and care of products;
• Polish furniture and roomaccessories as needed;
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, andmirrors;
• Report repairs and replacementsneeded when encountered on job;
• Monitor chemicals by trackingchemicals with sign in/out sheet;
• Maintaining daily log of dutiesperform and time;
• Clean rooms, hallways, diningrooms and group rooms, restrooms, corridors, stairways, dorm rooms, and otherwork areas so that health standards are met;
• Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean and transport other trash and waste todisposal areas;
• Transport of supplies (will be reimbursed for travel);
• Empty all trash, clean diningrooms and kitchens at all location (if one is available);
• Coordinate with other staff and supervisor daily to ensure that servicesare provided in an efficient and timely manner;
• Perform or assist with cleaningduties as needed;
• Confer with staff to discusscompany policies for cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment;
• Monitor building security andsafety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours andchecking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created;
• Light maintenance work;
• Meal pick-up and drop-off for theDetox Program, breakfast at 6am, lunch at 11am and dinner at 4pm);
• Deep clean all facilities everytwo weeks;
• Clean facility floors once a week atAdministrative offices;
• Clean bathroom floors twice a week;and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Lifting, twisting,standing, bending and traveling to and from facility locations. 90% of workwill require some sort of physical activity to be performed. Employee will berequired to travel from time to time and must be willing to accommodate needsof various sites. Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walkduring daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time. Physicallyable to push vacuum cleaner for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to25 to 60 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed throughout treatment facilities,administrative offices, and residential living quarters, which are temperaturecontrolled. Employee is expected towork in various facility locations.
