The Environment & Safety Leader is responsible for the safety and wellbeing of our team, which is a critical value that this leader must uphold. This leader works to improve current safety programs, teams, and procedures, as well as implement new policies as needed to achieve our goals and continuous improvement in environment, health, and safety.

Environment & Safety Leader Responsibilities:

• Lead environmental initiatives and processes aimed at achieving zero Notices of Violation (NOVs).
• Engage and enroll the entire workforce to foster a strong and proactive safety culture.
• Provide support across all shifts in a 24/7 operation, maintaining visibility and engagement with both day and night teams.
• Lead and support safety efforts to promote an injury-free workplace.
• Apply a "Safer Together" mindset to all people-focused initiatives and practices.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in hazard recognition and control programs, including Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) creation and evaluation.
• Guide and collaborate with safety team members to drive improvements through program compliance and accountability.
• Maintain a consistent leadership presence on the plant floor to influence behaviors and fully engage employees in safety processes.
• Create risk profiles for various plant areas and tasks to identify and mitigate high-risk exposures.
• Advise site leadership on safety policies, programs, and strategies to continuously advance safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, implement, and assess the effectiveness of all key Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) programs and procedures, including those related to Process Safety Management (PSM).

Environment & Safety Leader Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related discipline required.
• 3-5 years of experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) qualification preferred.
• Experience managing and delivering results through projects and initiatives.
• Ability to adapt and contribute to plant success in multiple areas (Operations, Talent Development, Project Leadership, TPM).
