RESRG Automotive is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team in Newbern, TN.

Your Job

The Environmental, Health and Safety Manager will ensure the site is following all relevant EH&S regulations and processes. This position brings passion and energy to promote safety accountability and ownership among employees and management. The EHS Manager with support from local staff and EH&S regional teams, provides the technical knowledge and expertise needed to maintain and safe and productive workplace.

What You Will Do in Your Role

  • Work alongside the Plant Manager and other senior site leaders driving change and operating a safe, compliant, successful business
  • Deliver positive impact daily by partnering with the Operations team to develop solutions, methods, and processes to reduce the site’s overall risk profile
  • Supervise local EHS team members and serve as a trusted advisor and coach to all employees
  • Provide leadership or support for the site’s Environmental Health and Safety initiatives
  • Ensure department leaders understand the hazards present in their area, how those hazards are controlled, and what to do when the unexpected happens.
  • Safeguard that critical risks are effectively managed and mitigated
  • Drive the follow-up and closure of EH&S action plans from activities such as audits and regional priorities
  • Maintain compliance with existing EH&S regulations and become aware of emerging regulations that might impact the site
  • Maintain accurate EHS data and timely submittal of compliant reporting

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, or a related field
  • Five (5+) plus years of Environmental Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
  • Track record of building a culture having a safety mindset and accountability at all levels

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Leadership/managerial experience in the Environmental Health and Safety function
  • Experience interacting with and training all levels of employees regarding regulatory and company EH&S requirements
  • Experience in permitting requirements and processes
