Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an experienced Site EHS Manager for a major mission-critical project in Newark, OH. You will oversee daily EHS activities and lead safety integration with construction teams.

This role requires strong knowledge of OSHA requirements, ability to operate independently, and the coordination of audits, training, and incident investigations to protect workers and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

I’m working with a leading self-perform construction contractor seeking an experienced Site EHS Manager for a major mission-critical project in Newark, OH.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily environmental, health, and safety activities
• Conduct site inspections, audits, orientations, and toolbox talks
• Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions
• Review site-specific safety plans and Job Hazard Analyses
• Verify employee and subcontractor training documentation
• Lead preconstruction safety-planning meetings
• Investigate incidents and maintain required documentation
• Partner with site leadership and trade partners to strengthen safety performance
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and company standards

Qualifications

• Construction safety or EHS experience
• Mission-critical, data center, industrial, or large commercial experience preferred
• Strong field presence and communication skills
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices
• Ability to operate independently and address noncompliance
• OSHA 500/510 (preferred), 30&10 required; additional safety certifications preferred
• Relocation flexibility is a plus
