Job Description:

The EHS Manager (Multi-Site) will coordinate and oversee the company’s environmental health, and safety program in accordance with company, state, and federal requirements. The role will also act as a catalyst for the growth and development of ESG initiatives throughout the organization. Responsibilities include maintaining and improving plant EHS and ESG policies and internal procedures related to EPA/DEP, OSHA, and other registrations affecting plant operations.

This position will serve both the New Brighton and Minneapolis locations, requiring a consistent on-site presence at both sites, including flexible scheduling to support business needs.

  1. Work safely by following all safety policies, enforcing safety standards, and leading by example to maintain a clean and organized manufacturing environment.
  2. Develop and manage the plant's EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) program and processes to meet TRIR, DART, and Risk Assessment goals.
  3. Manage and represent the EHS program, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and maintaining necessary registrations and certifications.
  4. Regularly meet with site leaders to review progress, coach, mentor, and promote continuous safety improvements.
  5. Serve as the Management Representative for all EHS-related matters.
  6. Lead the plant Safety committee, conduct safety meetings, manage First Responders, and oversee safety training.
  7. Provide regular reports to management on EHS objectives and performance.
  8. Maintain and update the environmental and health and safety management systems based on best practices.
  9. Conduct internal EHS audits and communicate findings.
  10. Develop, implement, and oversee hazardous waste disposal procedures.
  11. Review and approve new Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for materials used at the site.

Additional responsibilities include participating in hazard risk assessments for new equipment and automation.

Job Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related field required.
  • At least five years of occupational health and safety experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Recognized ASSE qualifications, OSHA 30-hour certification, EPA/DEP, and environmental certifications are preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of OSHA standards at the state and federal levels.
  • Strong understanding of current and upcoming environmental, social, and regulatory policies, especially those relevant to the medical device industry in North America, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Experience with GHG inventory, carbon accounting, and abatement across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and similar software programs.
