Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
We’re looking for a hands-on and experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety efforts at a large manufacturing facility. This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to guide established programs, influence plant operations, and support compliance across multiple sites. We need someone who’s confident working independently, comfortable training others, and ready to make meaningful improvements in both environmental and safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and update EHS compliance programs (air, water, waste, safety)
- Train, coach, and supervise teams
- Conduct inspections, maintain permits, submit reports
- Run compliance and safety trainings across teams
- Partner with plant leaders to influence a culture of safety
- Support corporate-wide EHS projects and share best practices
- Improve systems for incident reporting and training tracking
- Manage EHS budget and vendors
Required Qualifications
- Manufacturing EHS Experience: 5–7+ years of environmental and safety leadership in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Environmental Compliance: Strong knowledge of air, water, hazardous waste, and DNR reporting systems
- Safety Leadership: Experience running compliance training and leading safety initiatives across teams
- Communication Skills: Able to influence plant leadership and present regulatory information clearly
- Detail Orientation: Strong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance reporting tools
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
