Jobbeschreibung

Cypress Engine Accessories (CEA) is an established and growing provider of engine parts, controls, technical solutions, and field services supporting the natural gas compression and power generation industries.

With multiple locations and operations across the United States, we are committed to providing reliable solutions, exceptional customer service, and a safe working environment for our employees.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to lead, develop, and continuously improve our company-wide Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) programs.

Position Overview

The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing CEA's safety and compliance programs across all company locations, including field service operations, warehouses, and facilities.

This position will serve as the company's primary resource for workplace safety, regulatory compliance, employee safety training, fleet and equipment safety, and customer-specific EHS requirements.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized professional who can work independently, identify areas for improvement, and develop practical safety programs that support employee well-being, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Safety Program Leadership & Management
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of company-wide EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, DOT, PHMSA, EPA, and other federal and state safety regulations.
  • Oversee safety initiatives for field service technicians, warehouse personnel, and facility operations.
  • Conduct workplace safety assessments, inspections, and internal compliance audits.
  • Manage incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Maintain Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and other field safety procedures.
  • Establish and monitor safety performance objectives and compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation including incident reports, inspection logs, training records, and report writing for internal review and regulatory agencies.
DOT Compliance & Vehicle Management
  • Oversee DOT and fleet safety compliance programs.
  • Coordinate company vehicle inspections, maintenance compliance, and required documentation.
  • Monitor driver qualification requirements, motor vehicle records (MVRs), and applicable DOT regulations.
  • Manage vehicle safety inspection schedules and ensure deficiencies are corrected.
  • Oversee accident reporting, investigations, and vehicle safety initiatives.
  • Work with management to ensure consistent fleet safety practices across all locations and departments.
Asset & Equipment Safety Management
  • Oversee required safety inspections and compliance documentation for company equipment and assets.
  • Monitor inspection and certification requirements for forklifts, cranes, lifting equipment, and other operational assets.
  • Ensure equipment safety deficiencies are documented and corrective actions are completed.
  • Collaborate with management to maintain equipment safety standards and inspection schedules.
  • Develop and maintain asset and equipment safety procedures.
Customer Compliance & Contractor Management
  • Manage company compliance profiles and documentation within ISNetworld, Veriforce, and other customer-required compliance networks.
  • Maintain contractor qualifications, safety statistics, training records, and customer compliance requirements.
  • Review Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and customer contracts for safety, insurance, and operational compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with management to address customer safety requirements, compliance gaps, and corrective actions.
  • Lead customer audits, contractor qualification reviews, and compliance submissions.
Drug & Alcohol Testing Programs
  • Oversee company drug and alcohol testing programs, including DOT and non-DOT requirements.
  • Coordinate pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and other required testing.
  • Maintain testing documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Work with Human Resources and third-party testing providers to maintain program compliance.
Training & Safety Culture
  • Identify employee safety training needs and oversee required certifications.
  • Develop and maintain training schedules and compliance tracking systems.
  • Manage safety orientations for new employees.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through communication, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with branch managers and field service leadership to reinforce safe work practices.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to executive leadership regarding safety performance, regulatory changes, and risk reduction.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, power generation, gas compression, or related industries.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
  • Experience with DOT compliance, fleet management, and vehicle safety programs.
  • Experience coordinating equipment inspections, certifications, and asset safety compliance.
  • Familiarity with Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and customer-specific safety requirements.
  • Experience managing DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing protocols.
  • Experience with contractor compliance platforms such as ISNetworld and Veriforce.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and deadlines independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, TEAMS and electronic recordkeeping systems.
  • Ability to travel periodically to company branches and customer locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the midstream natural gas compression industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting industrial field service operations.
  • Familiarity with crane safety, lifting operations, forklifts, and industrial equipment inspections.
  • Experience developing and leading company-wide safety programs.
  • Knowledge of contractor prequalification processes and customer safety audits.
  • OSHA 30 certification, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or other relevant safety certifications.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for a safety professional who takes ownership of company-wide safety and compliance—not simply someone who maintains records.

The right candidate will be comfortable identifying risks, developing solutions, holding teams accountable, and working directly with management to improve safety performance.

This position requires someone who can balance regulatory requirements with the practical realities of field service and industrial operations.

Compensation

Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant industry experience, and demonstrated safety program management capabilities.
