Position Overview

This role provides guidance and support to plant operations, focusing on day-to-day EHS requirements within a manufacturing facility. The position involves 30% administrative tasks and 70% on-the-floor presence during daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing all EHS programs and policies.
• Serve as the site liaison with outside agencies such as EPA and OSHA.
• Support the Workers' Compensation Program as needed.
• Advise plant management, supervisors, and leadership on safety matters.
• Conduct monthly safety training classes for supervisors and oversee departmental safety training.
• Perform weekly safety observations and daily plant inspections to identify unsafe practices and conditions.
• Promote and maintain employee engagement in safety and health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Preferred knowledge of EPA, GEOS, OSHA, TIER II regulations.
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
