Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a mid-level associate to join its Environment, Energy & Resources practice. This role offers exposure to regulatory and transactional matters at the forefront of energy infrastructure and the energy transition.

You will negotiate energy agreements, advise on electric market design, and appear before FERC while developing expertise in energy policy, contracts, and renewable integration.

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of energy law experience with regulatory and transactional focus.
  • Admitted to practice or eligible to waive into the jurisdiction of the office location.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Power Act and power market mechanics.
  • Ability to draft bespoke energy contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate power purchase agreements and energy service agreements.

Duties
  • Negotiate power purchase agreements and custom energy service agreements.
  • Advise on electric market design issues within RTOs/ISOs.
  • Represent clients in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
  • Counsel clients on emerging energy policy and renewable energy integration.
Requirements
  • 3-6 years of experience in energy law, with regulatory and transactional experience preferred.
