The candidate will lead significant matters at the intersection of digital infrastructure and energy transition, collaborating with renowned partners on complex transactions.

The role requires 6+ years in energy law, JD from an accredited law school, and admission to practice. Expect a robust practice with mentoring, client relationships, and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of energy law experience.
• Ability to manage complex transactions independently.
• Deep knowledge of the Federal Power Act and wholesale power markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center power transactions, drafting and negotiating PPA and energy service agreements.
• Provide strategic advice on electric market design within RTOs/ISOs (PJM, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, CAISO).
• Represent clients in proceedings before FERC and advise on compliance matters.
• Counsel clients on energy policy and renewable energy integration strategies.
• Engage in client relationship management and contribute to thought leadership in energy infrastructure.
• Mentor associates to ensure excellence in work product and development.

Duties

• Lead data center power transactions, drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements and energy service agreements.
• Provide strategic advice on electric market design issues within RTOs/ISOs, focusing on PJM, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, and CAISO.
• Represent clients in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and advise on compliance matters.
• Counsel clients on emerging energy policy and renewable energy integration strategies.
• Participate in client relationship management and contribute to thought leadership in energy infrastructure.
• Mentor associates within the practice group, ensuring excellence in work product and professional development.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in energy law.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and regulatory filings independently.
• Deep knowledge of the Federal Power Act and wholesale power markets.
• Collaborative self-starter.
• Must be admitted to practice (or eligible to waive in) to the jurisdiction of office location.
• EducationJD from an accredited law school.
