Job summary

Hinds County Government is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform custodial maintenance across county buildings. The role includes cleaning floors, offices, and bathrooms, trash disposal, and maintaining sanitation under supervision.

The incumbent will work in a full-time capacity, supporting a clean and safe county environment with routine supply management and inventory control. A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning of floors, offices, shops, and bathrooms.

• Assemble and stock cleaning supplies, maintain inventory.
• Operate commercial vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
• Follow supervision directions and work within safety guidelines.

They do by performing a range of cleaning tasks, from mopping and floor buffing to room sanitizing and disposal of trash, and other related activities as directed by the immediate supervisor. Duties require little knowledge of any field of work and is performed under direct supervision of a superior in a higher classification.**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**The following are examples of work performed for positions in this job class, and are not intended to reflect the essential functions of any one position.
