Job summary

Mac Papers + Packaging is seeking a Machine Adjuster to set up and adjust envelope converting machines for safe and efficient operation. You will start-up, adjust to tight tolerances, perform maintenance and troubleshoot to minimize downtime and ensure quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 12 months of related mechanical experience is required.
• 3+ years of envelope-specific experience preferred.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
• Basic math and ruler reading skills are needed; basic computer skills are helpful.
• Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and on time in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust envelope converting equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Start-up and manage adjustments with close tolerances, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Monitor machines to ensure quality and run speed standards are met.
• Maximize productivity by changing jobs and maintaining run speeds.
• Troubleshoot equipment, analyze operations and adjust to minimize quality variations.
• Follow quality control procedures to ensure product quality.

Education
