Job summary

Horsham Clinic is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, healthy patient care environment in our Ambler, PA facility. You will follow OSHA guidelines, respond to requests, and communicate via walkie-talkies to keep units safe and orderly.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, common areas, kitchens, and offices, while ensuring sanitization and organization. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and safe practices in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or hotel environmental service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient rooms, common areas, waiting areas, hallways and offices.
• Clean and disinfect carts, equipment, and waste receptacles; replenish supplies.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, equipment and surfaces using approved germicides.
• Turn mattresses, clean unit kitchens, sweep and mop as needed.
• Operate with minimal supervision to complete tasks efficiently.

What You’ll Do (Position Description)

As a Housekeeper you will uphold a conscientious, thorough, self-motivated day-to-day min dset. You are responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment that will surely evoke smiles and thank you’s from patients and staff alike. In order to uphold a sanitary, safe and risk-free environment you will work within OSHA regulations. You will also be responsible for responding to ad-hoc requests in a timely manner and initiating communication by walkie-talkies.

Contributions to Team Success (Job Duties/Responsibilities)

• Maintain assigned areas such as, but not limited to: patient rooms, common areas on and off the units, waiting areas, hallways and business offices
• Clean and maintain carts and equipment used, replenishing supplies, collecting waste, sanitizing garbage receptacles
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment
• Perform other Housekeeping duties, turn mattresses, clean unit/department kitchenettes, sweep, mop as needed
• Work efficiently and effectively under little supervision

Qualifications

What we need from you!

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of hospital or hotel environmental service techniques, practices and procedures experience preferred
• Working knowledge of risk and safety precautions
• Ability to prioritize and organize daily workloads to meet deadlines
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Sensitivity and awareness of diverse groups of employees and patients
• Maintain confidentiality
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, pull, push, kneel and stoop throughout shift; must be able to lift at most 30lbs on own
