Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs in Columbus, OH is offering an Environmental Engineering Intern program that gives hands-on experience in environmental compliance and sustainable practices. You will support data collection, regulatory reporting, and participation in energy efficiency and waste reduction initiatives.

The internship targets students pursuing a BS in chemical, environmental engineering or related fields, with at least sophomore standing by summer 2027, and eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in a technical field (Chemical/Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or related).
• Completion of at least sophomore year by summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental data acquisition, management and reporting for compliance with Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act and RCRA.
• Assist with environmental investigations and permits compliance.
• Assist with energy efficiency, waste minimization, GHG reduction and ISO 14001 programs.
• Various other tasks as needed.
