Job summary

Qualifications

• Learn basic railcar knowledge and inspection procedures.
• Prepare railcars for touch up or surface prep, including masking areas.
• Perform mechanical/assembly repairs to railcars using basic hand and power tools.
• Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Possess valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conducts railcar inspections to ensure cars are in compliance.
• Performs repairs using current repair procedures.
• Ensure customer expectations are met for exceptional service.
• Ensure invoicing, inspection, and work order information is accurate.
• Follow safety rules and participate in safety initiatives.
