Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology is required.
• Maintains current NYS licensure and ARRT certification with CE credits as required.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality X-ray images by conducting exams in a safe and efficient manner.
• Verifies and follows referring providers' orders while remaining in compliance with Imaging Sciences policies.
• Posesses understanding of human anatomy and X-ray positioning; uses immobilization devices when warranted.
• Prepares room and patient per order; properly sets up equipment and determines exposure factors to produce a high quality image.
• Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, exam, and provider comments; ensures correct PACS transmission.
• Transfers patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices and maintains room supplies.
• Completes and bills for studies accurately; performs other duties as assigned.

Education
