Job summary

Seaboard Energy is seeking a Process Technician to monitor field equipment, collect samples, and analyze data to support Operators and Lab Staff in meeting performance standards.

The role involves operating process controls, performing repairs, and ensuring equipment functions while following SOPs for safety and quality. Training for HAZWOPER and confined space rescue is included, with a focus on teamwork and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Refinery experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply process parameters and control system functions while maximizing plant production yields.
• Capable of following detailed procedures utilizing complex data and responding to off-normal process conditions.
• Ability to maintain focus, respond to alarms, and changing conditions to complete tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples, diagnose issues, prepare work orders, and oversee necessary repairs.
• Operate process controls and machinery; make adjustments to maintain performance within specified limits.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly; adjust or report as necessary to maintain product quality.
• Follow SOPs to uphold safety, quality, and consistency standards; conduct annual SOP reviews for accuracy and updates.
• Troubleshoot operational issues; elevate complex problems to supervision; ensure parameters are within limits.
• Monitor equipment performance; coordinate routine repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Implement corrective actions based on lab results and input from Control Board Operator.
• Participate in start-up and shutdown procedures.
• Coordinate with external contractors and internal teams during maintenance events
• Assist with turnaround maintenance and special projects.
• Issue and maintain Safe Work Permits and associated special permits for all work in area.
• Follow safety, environmental, and health protocols; report concerns or incidents promptly.
