Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Currently in the Phlebotomist Student role and meets criteria.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients using the AIDET (PHLEBOT) model and collects specimens per physician orders.
• Uses hospital computer systems and PDA for patient identification and labeling.
• Safely collects quality samples following laboratory policies and handles body fluids as needed.
• Maintains clean, organized phlebotomy work areas and stocks supplies.
