Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking an ENTRY PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator to greet patients, assist with check-ins at a kiosk or tablet, and support the lobby while maintaining a professional, confidential environment.

You will also assist phlebotomists, help with breaks, and ensure a warm, reassuring atmosphere as patients wait for their labs, with a focus on accuracy and service quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy experience is required, even as an intern/externship.
• Minimum 1–2 years of client facing customer service experience.
• Some phlebotomy experience is required.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-ins via kiosk or handheld tablet.
• Provide support in the lobby and assist with breaks when phlebotomists are unavailable.
• Explain procedures to patients in a clear, compassionate manner and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Maintain the lobby area, ensure accurate records and documentation, and support a professional environment.
• Fill in for staffing shortages and cover shifts as needed.

Job Description

• The ENTRY PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) helps with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and answering any questions or concerns with care and compassion.
• The individual will also help maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable.
• This individual will also utilize Phlebotomy skills to grown within the company.
• The ENTRY PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect to patients regarding the scheduled procedure for the patients in a safe and accurate manner.
• The ENTRY PSR I will demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
• The impact of this individual will be crucial to maintaining the integrity of the lobby and ensuring that all patients are provided with the level of service that is expected.
• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Maintains required records and documentation.
• Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general along with a willingness to learn new skills.
• This is primarily a Lobby Greeter position to help patients check in at the kiosk and to help them feel more comfortable while waiting to be called back for their labs to be run - Will fill in for breaks and cover for staffing shortages

Job Requirements

• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet
• Be willing to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help with breaks that need to be covered
• To perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• HIGH LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE/SKILLS ARE REQUIRED - this is critical to the heart of the role
• High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED - no exceptions
• Phlebotomy experience is required, even if just an intern/externship to learn the basics
• Minimum of 1-2 years of client facing customer service REQUIRED (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc).
• Some Phlebotomy experience is REQUIRED
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
• Schedule Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm and Rotating Saturday 6:30am - 12:30pm
