Job summary

Axis Pipe and Tube LLC is seeking an Entry Operator in Bryan, TX to stage pipe and prepare loads for threading and machining. You will follow established procedures, operate threading equipment, and coordinate with teammates for timely production.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 100+ lbs, and working in a hot environment. Experience with hand tools and basic reading skills are necessary; a 1-year technical certificate or 3–6 months related experience are acceptable qualifications.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school OR
• Three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Knowledge of use and care of common hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Stage pipe for threading and tooling processing; schedule loads to maximize load capability.
• Set and adjust variables following established practice and operate to comply with procedures.
• Maintain focus while loading, running tests and checks, and keeping records.
• Operate threading equipment controls and instruments to process materials properly.
• Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
• Operate an overhead crane and forklift as needed for loading/unloading.
• Work in a high heat/high humidity environment.

Salary Range: $17.00 To $19.00 Hourly

Brief Summary:

The Entry Operator uses machinery to move the product further down the line. Entry operators will often coordinate with teammates to ensure accurate and timely production.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently, stage pipe for threading and tooling processing; schedule loads in order to produce maximum load capabilities.
• Must set and adjust variables following established practice, and operate as necessary to comply with established procedures.
• Continuous mental and visual attention in loading, operating, running tests and checks, maintaining records and other duties involving constant alertness.
• Understand and utilize the controls & instruments on the threading equipment to process materials properly.
• Perform routine maintenance on all work equipment. Maintains clean work area.
• Operating an overhead crane and forklift as needed to load and unload pipe.
• Must perform duties in a high heat / high humidity environment.
