Job summary

Team Trident is seeking a Junior LiDAR Analyst in Lafayette, LA for a contracted period Oct 2026–May 2027. You will support the geospatial production team by processing LiDAR data, performing classification and QA/QC, and assisting in preparing client-ready deliverables.

You will work with senior staff to follow workflows, maintain data quality, and contribute to project milestones across infrastructure, environmental, and government markets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of LiDAR data and point clouds
• Familiarity with GIS concepts and coordinate systems
• Exposure to TerraSolid/TerraScan, LP360, Global Mapper or QGIS
• Degree or hands-on experience in geospatial field

Responsibilities

• Execute LiDAR data processing following production workflows
• Classify point clouds into ground, vegetation, structures and water
• Apply automated classifications and perform manual edits
• Review areas for completeness before progression
• Document QA findings and communicate fixes to team
