Job summary

City of Charlotte's Land Development Division seeks an entry level Code Process Specialist to conduct zoning reviews of multiple dwelling types and sign permits for compliance with the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) and Legacy Zoning Ordinance. You will work with City and County permitting software, assist customers in the Development Center lobby, and provide support by phone and email.

Responsibilities

Comprehend technical code regulations and solve complex zoning issues.
Provide detailed zoning review comments for various permit types.
Manage multiple permit submittals and meet deadlines in City/County systems.
Coordinate with design professionals, attorneys, developers, and the public to resolve issues.
Assist customers in using Accela and other software systems.
