Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. is seeking an Assembler to perform repetitive assembly operations producing items such as windows, doors, trusses, panels or stairs. No formal education or experience is required, though prior carpentry experience is helpful and overtime may be involved.

The role requires reading and following simple instructions, measuring with a tape, and fastening parts with bolts, clips, screws or cement on an assembly line while working at multiple stations as needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Verbal expression ability to present information clearly.
• Ability to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
• Bolts, clips, screws, or cements parts together.
• Cuts products to specific measurements as needed.
• Removes defective products as needed.
• Tends machines on the assembly line.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Cleans equipment and work areas following safety procedures.
