Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics and measurements.
• Ability to read and understand process sheets.

Responsibilities

• Observes senior Winder to learn procedures and techniques.
• Reads process sheet for winding instructions and material needs.
• Loads material on pay-off manually or using forklift.
• Affixes mandrel plate on winder with hand tools.
• Sets controls for number of turns and speed.
• Starts winder and monitors feed of material.
• Measures part to verify dimensions and adjusts turns as needed.
• Welds ends of part and removes completed core from winder.
• Weighs leftover material and records on the coil.
• Inspects work in progress for specifications.
• Performs other incidental duties as required.
