Job summary

MGX Equipment Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Welder based in Belle Chasse, LA to join our production team. You will weld parts to blueprint specifications, read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and ensure quality and timing of production schedules.

You’ll demonstrate safe operation of overhead cranes and tools while maintaining 5S standards. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to pass AWS D1.1 2G Grove test within two weeks of training, and ongoing certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to pass AWS D1.1 2G Grove test within 2 weeks of training.
• Read and interpret routine welding drawings and measuring devices.
• Maintain certification with regular practice every six months.

Responsibilities

• Weld parts to blueprint specifications to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Identify parts and materials and use setup sheets.
• Read blueprints, weld symbols and use measuring devices to spec.
• Operate overhead cranes and hand tools safely; keep workspace 5S compliant.
• Complete paperwork and ensure cosmetic acceptability of welds.
