We seek an Entry-Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to assist with planning, design, permitting, and construction engineering of treatment facilities and distribution systems. The role is ideal for a recent Civil or Environmental Engineering graduate looking to gain practical experience in field investigations, data analysis, and project

Qualifications

• BS in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, completed or anticipated by start date.
• 0–2 years of experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• EIT certification preferred, or ability/willingness to obtain EIT certification after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design, permitting, and construction engineering of water and wastewater facilities.
• Assist with sanitary sewer and potable water project development, design, and implementation.
• Potentially assist with stormwater and roadway projects.
• Assist with completion of assigned projects and specific tasks.
• Assist in preparation of proposals.
• Assist in construction project administration.
• Gather, compile and analyze data.
• Review and understand permit requirements.
• Facilitate and maintain communication with project team, clients, and contractors.

Position Summary

ERI has a career opportunity for an Entry-Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to assist with the planning, design, permitting, and construction engineering of water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection and conveyance systems, as well as distribution and storage systems. This position is well suited for a recent or upcoming Civil or Environmental Engineering graduate interested in developing practical water/wastewater engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to perform field investigations, field sampling, and surveys.
• Assist with project development, design, and implementation of various tasks associated with sanitary sewer and potable water.
• Potentially assist with projects associated with stormwater and roadways.
• Assist with the completion of assigned projects and specific project tasks.
• Assist with the preparation of proposals.
• Assist in construction project administration.
• Gather, compile and analyze data.
• Review and understand permit requirements.
• Facilitate and maintain open communication with project team members, clients, and contractors.
• Gain experience interfacing directly with clients, contractors, and facility operators.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, completed or anticipated by start date.
• 0-2 years of experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Water/Wastewater coursework or internship experience preferred, but not required.
• EIT certification preferred, or ability/willingness to obtain EIT certification following graduation.
• CADD experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Compensation

Anticipated base salary: $68,000–$72,000. Actual compensation is based on experience, education, licensure, certifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
