Job summary

Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Associate Environmental Scientist to support operation, maintenance, and monitoring of water treatment systems in a field-office role. The position combines field work, sampling, and documentation to help ensure environmental compliance and project success.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, up-to-date safety practices, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. On-call rotations and travel may be involved as projects ramp up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field required.
• Technical training in water treatment or environmental tech is a plus.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and read manuals/schematics.
• Strong attention to safety, documentation, and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor water treatment systems, including filtration units, pumps, valves, piping, chemical feed systems, and instrumentation.
• Perform routine inspections, checks, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment repairs.
• Monitor system performance and record readings (flow, pressure, totals).
• Prepare chemical feed solutions and follow chemical-handling procedures.
• Collect environmental samples and maintain field logs and reports.
• Calibrate and maintain field monitoring equipment; troubleshoot issues.
• Travel as needed; participate in on-call rotations to support operations.
