Job summary

Burgess & Niple is seeking an Early Career Treatment CADD Technician to join the Water / Wastewater team in Columbus, OH. You will support treatment drafting projects and build technical skills under senior designers and engineers.

Recent graduates or early-career professionals will gain exposure to diverse projects nationwide, producing detailed drawings while learning new CADD platforms and civil design concepts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related CADD certs preferred.
• 0–2 years of civil CADD drafting experience.
• Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD or Plant 3D; MS Office proficiency.
• Willingness to learn new CADD platforms as needed.
• Basic civil design concepts, especially water treatment.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to support development and execution of treatment drafting and design projects.
• Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings using CADD software (REVIT, Civil 3D, Plant3D) under guidance of senior designers and engineers.
• Assist with 3D modeling of piping systems and equipment layouts.
• Ensure documentation meets client standards, project specs, and regulatory standards.
• Provide support on projects across various regions.
• Gain exposure to diverse treatment design standards and practices.
